You Will Be Seen is a photographic survey of autonomous surveillance towers which currently occupy the U.S./Mexico Border. These towers are part of the state’s project to establish a virtual border: Now some 200-plus surveillance towers, made through contracting with private tech companies like Anduril Industries, specializing in artificial intelligence and virtual reality technology. These sentry towers, among other surveillance embodiments, are part of a growing web of sensors which are used to reproduce the borderland into an expanded and more easily trackable virtual space.

The work is made up of sequences of gelatin silver contact-prints made with a view camera in the operable view of each sentry tower, paired with Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request correspondence between myself and Customs and Border Protection in attempts to retrieve the counter imagery obtained during the encounter.
